Girl's feet severed at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom on Superman Tower of Power
Posted by: Luxornv | 23 June 2007 00:36

A girl riding the Superman Tower of Power had her feet severed Thursday. During the ride, a cable came loose and wrapped around the girl's legs and pulled them off. It is still unclear when in the ride this happened. Six Flags and Cedar Fair have shut down other drop towers at their park pending inspections.

oh crap thats horrible!! six flags should check their rides more often. i can't believe something like that could happen in a six flags park.

I cant believe that happened!SIXFLAGS needs to test out all rides before the day starts, and see if there are any problems our anything out of place.I really feel sorry for that girl.I just cant believe something that horrible would happen anywhere!

    To HANEEF:
Every major park, like a Six Flags park checks all of their rides in the morning before the park even opens. This includes checking all roller coasters and making sure all nuts and bolts are tightened to the extent they should be and etc. I'd assume on this ride someone checks the cables to make sure there are no visible defects in the cable, but maybe this person didn't do a very good job this particular day or it just came up more quickly than expected.

well it turns out the cable wasnt in the ride design. intamin did not provide the cable so maby the park added it in later. anybody kno where the cable came from?
