Dollywood was more of a family park. You could stay with your family the whole time. Tennessee Tornado was a great ride. I loved the first hill, this is one of the few rides the whole family couldn't go on. Blazing Fury was a dark ride, I really would not call this a rollercoaster per say, due to the fact that it is powered by wheels throughout the whole ride until the very end, when you have a little speed from a little hill and slow down with a water splash.
Over all Dollywood is a great park for the family, and I really enjoyed it. Tennessee Tornado is one of those hidden gems that not many people know about. I would like to tell any one, if they are in the area, to stop by and check the park out, I did and it was a very nice time.

My family goes to Dollywood every October, during the Harvest Festival. It is a nice park in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The Tennessee Tornado is the greatest ride in the park. Other rides include Blazin' Fury, an indoor 'coaster', and Daredevil Falls, a giant log flume that delivers a huge thrill. The park also features a Bald Eagle Sanctuary and a birds of prey show. I'm excited about the new coaster, Thunderhead, but have not ridden it yet.
Dollywood is a great park with a sprinkling of everything for everyone. Don't go here expecting Cedar Fair Thrills, although their two coasters are really top notch rides. Thunderhead has to be the best woody in America, it's THAT good.

I love Dollywood I visit the park as often as I can. It's a place that you can take your whole family to and every one will enjoy it. Dollywood is big on family. In 2004 Dollywood added the $7 million Thunderhead wooden roller coaster which won the 2005 Golden Ticket award for the #1 wooden roller coaster in the World. In 2005 Dollywood revamped there Country Fair area adding 10 new rides for the family and the younger kids to enjoy. In 2006 Dollywood once again added rides for the whole family. They added the Timber Tower the first and only ride of it's kind in North America, a topple tower type ride. And for the younger kid's they added Beaver Creek, Beaver Creek Boat Float, Lil' Loggers Landing, and Lumberjack Lifts. If you get hungry while enjoying the new area Dollywood also added a new restaurant Lumbercamp.

Dollywood is a pleasant, homey little park that is a great vacation spot for the family. It was not overcrowded, lines were fairly short, and it was just overall a nice place to spend the day. Not to mention Thunderhead, which totally rocked! I have to go back.
