Six Flags Over Georgia

Ride Facts and Info

Custom designed Vekoma Steel Looper. The ride has 2 trains with 7 cars each. Each car contains 2 rows of 2 seats. Restraints consist of a shoulder harness.

Ride Layout

Ninja begins with a small drop out of the station followed by a large right-hand turnaround onto the lifthill; the lift seems quiet and slow as it climbs 122 feet above the water below. The first drop is a 110-foot right-hand twisting drop that leads into the rides first inversion, a Butterfly. The train then makes a tight 270-degree upward right-hand turn into a Reverse Sidewinder inversion.

Next the train travels up a slight incline before taking a left turn, and traveling down a shallow slope that leads to the Double Corkscrew. The train then takes a left-hand turnaround, which just exceeds 180-degrees, before traveling along a flat piece of track that leads to the loading block brakes. The final stretch of tracks consists of a right-hand turnaround that leads back to the station.

Ride Evaluation

Here's one for the books, a Vekoma Looper that I actually enjoy! The ride is not a very popular, and is notorious for being a headbanger, but I've never had reason to complain. I have found the ride quite smooth, reasonably intense, with some of the most severe headchoppers I have seen on a ride; the setting over the lake also makes the ride more appealing, at least to the eye.

The trains appear to be in good condition, which might be the reason I found the ride not too rough. On my last visit to the park I actually rode Ninja twice without getting off, so it can't be that bad, because there are very few Vekoma coasters I would ride twice in one session.
