Wild Mouse, Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Review

Wild Mouse - Review

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Ride Facts and Info

Wooden Wild Mouse, one of only three remaining in the world. The ride has 10 mouse-shaped cars, each one having its own name. Each car can accommodate 2 riders, with 1 rider sitting between the other legs. Each car has a seatbelt for a restraint.

Ride Layout

The ride features one large drop, and two camelback drops, as well as several 90 degree turns, and a small series of switchbacks. Due to the design, the cars appear to tip over the side of the track as they go around the turns.

Ride Evaluation

This Mouse puts new meaning into the name “Wild Mouse”, as it certainly is wild. A wooden Wild Mouse is a completely different experience to a steel Wild Mouse as here we have an out of control ride, complete with airtime and laterals, and all completely uninterrupted by any brakes.

This is a great fun ride that also delivers the thrills and forces found on larger roller coasters. There is also an extreme headchopper on the lift where tall people actually have to duck to miss it. We need more of these rides, but until there are, Blackpool has the world’s best Wild Mouse, no questions asked.
