Mr. Freeze, Six Flags St. Louis - Review

Mr. Freeze - Review

Six Flags St. Louis

Ride Facts and Info

A Premier Rides LIM launch shuttle coaster. In 2002 the trains were retorfitted with lapbars.

Ride Layout

Mr. Freeze launches riders out of the station at 0-70 mph in 3.87 seconds into a tunnel and straight into a Top Hat inversion. There's then a flat piece of track that rises up into an overbanked turn, before dropping back down and leading into a Vertical Spike. The Vertical Spike features a second LIM launch, which may make riders in the front feel like they going to shoot off the end of the track! The train then completes the circuit backwards before returning to the station.

Ride Evaluation

Mr. Freeze is a great intense thrill ride, and is best enjoyed in the front seat. It's a little short, and going backwards might be a little nauseating for some, especially if ridden in succession. The lapbar treatment has created a whole brand new ride, and if you didn't like this before, give it another blast. There is also a sensation of weightlessness at the top of the Vertical Spike, as well as a great hanging sensation on the way back through the Top Hat.
