Sidewinder - Review

Six Flags Elitch Gardens

Ride Facts and Info

Arrow Shuttle Loop. The ride has 1 train with 6 cars containing 2 rows of 2 seats. Riders are secured by overhead shoulder restraints.

Ride Layout

Riders climb up a series of steps leading to a station elevated 56 feet off the ground. The train is then launched out of the station via a catapult and sent down a 47-foot drop and into a 360-degree Vertical Loop, before climbing up a hill and stopping on a platform the other side. The train is then launched backwards and ends up back on the original station where riders disembark.

Ride Evaluation

Going forwards is okay, but I really don't like being launched backwards. The ride is quite smooth, but you can get your shoulders bashed on the restraints a little, and the whole experience is rather outdated. Not as good as a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop.
