Based on the Coney Island Cyclone this figure-eight style woodie was re-tracked for 2001, and boy, did it need it. During its first few seasons the ride was relatively smooth if you avoided the back carriage. Now the whole ride, with the exception of the first drop is so rough and bumpy that several riders complain about it when they get off. Not only is it rough but it is also very slow around some of the turns.
It seems whatever Six Flags do to improve the ride backfires and makes it worse, even the B&M; rolling stock doesn't help. Also, the ride operators will not dispatch the train if it is not nearly full, so if there is no line you could end up waiting a long time to ride, or be forced into a vacant seat near the back of the train, which could be even more uncomfortable.
After riding I heard one guest shout to a ride operator to Put a match to it. While this is not a good fate for any coaster, I think the ride in its current state is an insult to the Coney Island Cyclone and to Magic Mountain.
