The Revolution has become somewhat of a landmark for SFMM. It was the world's first successful looping coaster when it opened in 1976, and was regarded as one of the best. Its freeform design is built around the terrain of a mountain, and it is surrounded by hundreds of tress, and it passes by waterfalls and fountains, and goes through a tunnel.
Again, what was once an absolute gem of a ride, has been destroyed by theme park mentality. Lap bars AND shoulder restraints? Trim brakes at the top of nearly every hill? No thanks! It used to be called The Great American Revolution but strangely enough it is no longer great. However, it still has a great layout, and wonderful landscaping and terrain.
